Looking to use Google to send your faxes?

This is the website for you.

Every month, thousands of people end up right where you are, looking to get their gmail account setup to fax.

No worries, we can get you setup in the next few minutes.  It’s easy.

Okay, so we have to define a few terms.

Gmail
- is an email service brought to you by Google.

Google
- is the worlds largest search engine.  They earned this label by focusing on the user and giving them what they want.

Online Fax Number – This is a service providing a digital fax number for you to send and receive with.  The fax protocol is FOIP or Fax Over Internet Protocol.

Over the past few years, all of the online fax companies have added the features that allow you to send faxes from fully web-based email providers.  Gmail is fully on board with this technology.

Okay, here we go...

Google Fax in 6 easy steps.

Number 1.
Grab a valid email address from Gmail.com.  If this is your first gmail address, make sure you have a cell phone ready so you can receive a verification text message.

Number 2.
Choose on online fax company to deliver your faxes.  RingCentral has a free 30-day trial and they offer a mobile and fax bundle to seriously take control of your communication streams.

A couple of clicks from now, your emails, voice messages and faxes will be funneled to just one location.  Life can be simpler with a virtual, one-stop message center.

Number 3.
While logged into Gmail, click on the Compose Mail button on the left hand side.

Number 4.
Attach a file, a picture or any other type of document to the email.  You may also type your message in the email body if you like.

Number 5.
Where you would normally add the email address, enter your destination fax number followed by the fax companies private email domain.

For example, if you were using eFax, you would enter the fax number like this.

Sample Fax Email
2062002488@rcfax.com

Number 6.
Click the Send Mail button and you’re finished.

You then officially have sent your first Google Fax.

Before I go, there’s one more thing I want to touch on.  You probably have heard that there are free fax numbers available online.  Prior to writing this article I tried many of the free sites.  All of them seemed to have a catch.

Ads, 2 page limits, 1 fax daily, send no receive or receive and no send.  Lots of limitations.

At this time, there is not a fax service that will allow you to send and receive a fax through Gmail, for free.

Test drive the top internet fax services.
